| DESCRIPTION: |
From
breeding "Platty
Daddy" to one of his 01 "sib"
daughters..........the "sib" Mom
of this clutch produced 1.1 "Platty"
in 2003 from clutch # 51...........she was
bred to an 01 Lesser Platty male......soooooo.....I
marked her as a normal sib that was a "Platty
Maker"..........this season I bred
her back to a "Platty".........is
it possible to produce a "Blue Eyed
Lucy" from breeding a Platty back to
a normal sib?.....or maybe something new?.......this
female proved that there is "something
strange" to the Platty's genetics..........lot's
and lots of breeding to figure this one
out......I'm still lovin' it!!!........(

"Platty Daddy", 0.1 Lesser Platty
and 2.2 sib hatched out on 7/13/05.........what
a crazy looking clutch this is?.......I
got another Baby Boy Platty!!...........and
1.1 of the sibs are very strange looking?..........a
"bronze" color..........I have
produced some of the "bronze"
colored sibs before........but not this
extreme .........I'm wondering if they are
some kind of "connection" to the
"Platty Riddle"??.............I'll
be raising up the "Bronze" pair
of sibs to breed back to each other.........you
can see in the pics that the "Bronze"
sibs are quite differently colored and patterned..........LORD
knows??.............I guess if you breed
something long enough, eventually you hatch
out a kitchen sink..........HA!!

male to a 50% possible het Albino
female...this female was a "slugger"
for the longest time.......I finally
got got 8 good eggs from her last
season ( 04 clutch # 46 ) from being
bred to an Albino male.........no
Albinos were produced.......I figured
I would try her one last season to
see if she will produce any Albinos
for me? ( ph alb f # 5 )

Platty male to an 02 " Platty
sib " female.......the female
is a daughter from "Platty
Daddy".......I've been able
to produce "Platties" from
breeding Lesser males ( sired by Platty
Daddy ) to normal sib females ( sired
by Platty Daddy )......the 03 Lesser
male sire to this clutch is NOT one
of Platty Daddy's direct sons...........he
was sired by an 01 Lesser male.......sooooo..........basically
I'm trying to see "what"
a Lesser sired from a "Lesser"
can do when bred to a sib.......confused
yet?.....hehehe.....( 02 plat sib

# 20......this male "her son"
has the "wannabe burg look"
to him.........Mom is definitely producing
some odd colored babies..........but
not nearly as extreme as she is.......she
has a "stone washed" look
to her.........so maybe something
cool will hatch from this clutch?

7/22/05..........one of the babies
is not pictured ( was in shed still
)..........all of these babies have
a red-ish hue to them...........but
nothing like what I would expect........I
think I've beat this horse enough........I
think the "burg trait" is
something that the snakes "grow
into" with some age.....a pretty
snake, but NOT a reliable trait.
