Axanthic female back in 2001.......at
the time I was trying to "get
lucky" and see if the Jolliff
Axanthic line was compatible with
the VPI Axanthic line.......maybe

female.........the clutch pictured
is of 5 eggs..........she laid one
egg on 5/11/05 and seemed to be having
some trouble getting settled to lay
the rest........her eggs were due
to be laid on 5/15/05.....so she did
fine, laying 5 eggs today..........I
think the first egg is a dud......I
think a Striped Pastel will be awesome!!..........what
ever Pastels hatch from this clutch
will be het for Stripe ( 02 past f
# 2 )

breeding a "het son Jungle Stripe"
back to his "Jungle
Stripe" Mother.......this
project has not produced any "visuals"
so far........I started off breeding
what were supposed to be 1.2 sibs
from Africa.........I have produced
several clutches between the 1.2 group
and only produced normal looking offspring..........so
I line bred a "het son"
back to his Mom this season...........if
I don't see any results this year,
then it's a big ZIP
on a new morph.........I will produce
two clutches this way this season
( het son to Mom )...........so hopefully
I'll see some very cool striped babies
this season...........I got my doubts
that this "trait" is simple
recessive?? ( real stripe f # 1 )

hatched out on 7/15/05....1 egg went
bad in this clutch......the babies
are GORGEOUS and HUGE...........the
biggest babies I produced this season
were from this clutch and clutch #
7...........both "Jungle Stripe"
clutches.........both Mom Jungle Stripes
are massive snakes..........built
like blood pythons............and
the babies are the same way..........this
was the first season that I was able
to breed son back to mother.........no
Stripes were produced other than the
little "runt" in clutch
# 7...........and that could be a
fluke because it is a runt...........most
runts and preemies are striped or
"jungle-ish"..........anyway.......I
do believe that there is "something"
to this project............large babies,
the pretty auburn color, reduced pattern
and the thick eye stripe............I'm
gonna keep dinkin'.......:)
This
clutch and clutch # 7 produced two
of the prettiest "norms"
so far this season.
