There is something here for sure.....;)
I
know ......."I named this snake".
There may be others out there but
I had to name mine the "Goblin".
I love the head and the mixed up pattern.
I have two males that look like this,
I'm hoping that this is genetic. The
animals I have all share the same
appearance of a very plain rusty/orange/cinnamon
colored head and a crazy "blushing"
pattern. The color is somewhat different
than a normal ball python........it
is much more orange and rusty colored
like fire, and the pattern is really
strange. This could just be a strange
looking striped ball python?
I hope to see a little "Goblin"
poking its head from an egg one day.
It seems that there are many names
for this type of ball python..........cinnamon,
green head, gold stripped etc..........I'm
calling it the "Goblin".......I
have seen some similar.......but not
quite like him (my original male that
is pictured )........his colors as
seen on film do not do him justice
and his body has the texture of an
Angolan python..........I love this
little guy!!!! His head is clownish???????
Notice that pattern on the neck, it
is like a melt.........How can this
not be genetic???????
I
did breed the Goblin male to a "Phantom"
female for the 2001 and the 2002 breeding
season..........she produced eggs
both years........and both years she
produced babies who looked like a
cross between her and the Goblin male??????...........she
also produced some babies that were
"in between".........like
some type of "Marker Snake".......??
Anyway........I
know I have something going here........whether
it is with the mom........or the Goblin
or both??...........it will take some
more time to breed it out and see
what happens..........stay tuned!!
