Here
it is!!!...........the snake that
ended the quest for finding and producing
"Genetic" Striped ball pythons.
The Genetic Striped ball python was
proved by Bob Clark. I was able to
purchase a young male from VPI in
2000..........(Tracy Barker had also
been working with this line and produced
from it "Clark's Line")............I
was able to breed him out to produce
heterozygous offspring in the 2001
season. As you can see..........this
does not look like any of the "Gold
Stripes" that we usually see
for sale.........this is the "Real
Deal"!!............I can not
see another form of Striped ball python
even coming close to the looks of
this line.
This
trait could not have been found and
proven at a better time...........the
ball python "nuts" needed
this snake bad!!!! This is what a
Striped ball python should look like............a
mostly full dorsal stripe with little
to ZERO pattern on the sides...........they
are variable in the stripe and side
pattern..........but over all..........when
you look at one...........all you
think is STRIPE!!!! I like to think
of them as "5 striped" ball
pythons........there is the golden
dorsal stripe.........the two darker
stripes on each side bordering the
main dorsal............and the golden
brown sides. The combinations of this
snake are exciting to ponder.............An
Albino or Axanthic Striped ball python
will be outrageous!!!............like
I said earlier...........this is a
"worthy" trait to put a
ton of time in producing double hets!..............The
Striped ball python will help make
new "designer mutations"...........and
I'm all over it!
In
a pic below, he is breeding one of
several normal females in 2000 and
2001....she and others produced het
for striped ball python babies..............I
will be breeding the Stripe into the
Albino line first for the 2002 season............oh'..........the
double hets........:)
